2. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that websites store on a user’s device while the user is browsing.

They can be used to ensure that a website works correctly, remember user preferences, maintain sessions and collect information about how the website is used.

Cookies may be:

  • session cookies, which are deleted when the browser is closed;

  • persistent cookies, which remain on the device until their expiry date or until they are manually deleted;

  • first-party cookies, placed directly by the Website;

  • third-party cookies, placed through services provided by external organisations.

Similar technologies, such as local storage or other online identifiers, may perform comparable functions and are covered by this Policy where applicable.

3. Categories of cookies used

4. Marketing and profiling cookies

The Website currently does not use advertising, remarketing or profiling cookies installed by Porphyry Roads.

In particular, no Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or comparable advertising integration is currently active on the Website.

If these or other non-essential services are introduced in the future, this Policy and the cookie consent system will be updated before such technologies are activated.

5. External websites

The Website contains links to external websites, including 33trentini.life and pathugo.com.

Simply displaying or clicking an ordinary link does not cause Porphyry Roads to place cookies belonging to the destination website. Once the user leaves porphyryroads.com, however, the destination website may use its own cookies and tracking technologies according to its own policies.

Users should therefore consult the privacy and cookie policies of each external website they visit.

6. Legal basis and consent

Strictly necessary cookies are used without consent because they are required to provide the Website and the functions explicitly requested by the user.

Analytics and other non-essential technologies are used only after the user has given consent through the cookie banner. The legal basis for the related processing of personal data is Article 6(1)(a) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”), together with Article 122 of Italian Legislative Decree no. 196/2003.

Refusing analytics cookies does not prevent the user from browsing the Website.

Consent is optional and may be withdrawn at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before its withdrawal.

7. Managing or withdrawing consent

Users can accept, reject or select individual categories of non-essential cookies through the cookie banner shown on their first visit.

Preferences can subsequently be changed at any time through the Cookie Settings command available on the Website.

Users may also delete or block cookies through their browser settings. Disabling strictly necessary cookies may affect the correct operation of certain Website functions.

Instructions are normally available in the privacy or cookie settings of the browser being used.

8. Data recipients and international transfers

Data collected through the Website’s technical infrastructure and platform analytics may be processed by Hostinger and Amplitude as technology and analytics service providers.

Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, the transfer must take place using one of the safeguards provided by Articles 44–49 GDPR, such as an adequacy decision or the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

Further information about processing locations and transfer safeguards is available in the privacy policies of the relevant providers.

9. Users’ rights

Under Articles 15–22 GDPR, where applicable, users have the right to:

  • obtain access to their personal data;

  • request rectification or erasure;

  • request restriction of processing;

  • object to processing;

  • receive data in a portable format;

  • withdraw consent at any time;

  • lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority.

In Italy, the competent authority is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali: https://www.garanteprivacy.it
